A Card Sent to a Nobleman with a Present of Welsh Mutton

True Cambrian mutton, delicate to roast,
Of finer taste than England e'er can boast,
From rural plains, the rustic mistress sends,
With grateful wishes to her polish'd friends;
Shou'd they the simple gift with smiles receive,
And let the donor in their converse live,
The freedom pardon, that dares deck their board,
And send provision to a noble Lord;
Then sure elate her flock would doubly please,
And her surviving Britons feed at ease.
