In Cardinalem Wolsaeum

In Cardinalem Wolsæum

Whilst Laicks glory in descent of Blood
Why shouldst not Thou in Titles shine as good
Great Clergy Prince? whose Fathers house might die
In Crimson grain all His posterety
Hence came't about Purple adornd thy head
And more to blush Thy Vestments all were red
Thus from the Shambles wher much blood doth fall
Thou didst become a Tyrant Cardinall.
