Since I am here at the river's side
the river flows down, and flows away.
Without me here,
I wonder how the river would flow.
On its own there is no river, and no flowing.
When evening comes
I am ready to wash my feet in the river but hold back.
There are a few full-grown calves here too.

Someone said that such days are holy; I have no idea.
