Thy Blood was shed for me,
My life belongs to Thee.
With Thee I died, with Thee I rose.
Thou livest now in me.
Thy body bruised for me.
How can I thankless be,
Or hesitate to offer mine
A sacrifice to Thee?
Blood from Thy thorn-pierced brow
Washed my vile thoughts away.
Take captive ev'ry thought, O Christ,
And
Blood from Thy nail-pierced hands
Cleansed all my evil deeds.
Now use my strength in youth, my Lord,
To sow Thy precious seed.
Thy feet were pierced with nails
Because mine went astray.
Lord, keep me walking in the light
Of Thine eternal way.
Thy back was lashed that mine,
Bent low beneath my sin,
Might lose its load at Calvary
And I the race might win.
My life belongs to Thee.
With Thee I died, with Thee I rose.
Thou livest now in me.
Thy body bruised for me.
How can I thankless be,
Or hesitate to offer mine
A sacrifice to Thee?
Blood from Thy thorn-pierced brow
Washed my vile thoughts away.
Take captive ev'ry thought, O Christ,
And
Blood from Thy nail-pierced hands
Cleansed all my evil deeds.
Now use my strength in youth, my Lord,
