Doll Thy Ale

Doll thy ale, doll; doll thy ale, doll!
Ale make many a man to have a doty poll.

Ale make many a man to stik at a brier;
Ale make many a man to ly in the mier;
And ale make many a man to sleep by the fier.
With doll!

Alle make many a man to stumbel at a stone;
Ale make many a man to go drunken home;
And ale make many a man to brek his tone.
With doll!

Ale make many a man to draw his knife;
Ale make many a man to make gret strife;
And ale make many a man to bete his wife.
With doll!

Ale make many a man to wet his chekes;
Ale make many a man to ly in the stretes;
And ale make many a man to wet his shetes.
With doll!

Ale make many a man to stumbel at the blokkes;
Ale make many a man to make his hed have knokkes;
And ale make many a man to sit in the stokkes.
With doll!

Alle make many a man to rin over the falows;
Ale make many a man to swere by God and All Halows;
And ale make many a man to hang upon the galows.
