Where shall I go to find a place,

Whereupon Euphony, full of songwise grace,

And Cacophony, full of disastrous blare,

Meet in the utterly rare

Scene where they find rhythm?

My journey took me to settings beyond fathom,

But in the end, I bow my head,

And go back home, for no matter where my travels led,

‘Tis not a place where opposites encounter.

I found rivers within which Euphony dwelt and prosper,

And cities with Cacophony ruled on thrones of kaos.

But alas, there is not, in all the world, dawn to dusk

A place where Euphony and Cacophony meet.

I slugged toward home, accepting defeat.

Then as I walk into my home with shoulders sagged,

My mind awakened, and reason was flagged.

I gazed at the storm raging above my head,

The thunder and lightning struck with solid Cacophony,

Yet there was a hidden sounding beauty.

A rare point of view can only show,

No matter where you are, from beach to snow,

Cacophony and Euphony ever dance with pleasure,

Bringing such a mixed leisure.
