How Darest Thou Wait

Liquid as lies the wave the hilltop lies,
The rocks are mobile as the breeze that strays
Past them to twirl the dust on summer ways;

The stars, they have the flight of butterflies,
The sun is as the ember in the grate:
Once more I cry, Love me! How darest thou wait?
