Hymn for Consecration

Lo, God is here, our prayers prevail!
In deeper reverence adore;
Ask freely now! he will not fail
His largest, richest gifts to pour.

Ask by these Emblems old and true;
Ask by the memories of the past;
Ask by His own Great Name, for lo,
His every promise there is cast!

Ask Wisdom! 'tis the chiefest thing;
Ask Strength, such strength as God may yield;
Ask Beauty from His Throne to spring
And grace the Temple we shall build.

Lord God most high, our Lodge we veil!
'Tis consecrate with ancient care;
Oh, let Thy Spirit ever dwell,
And guide the loving Builders here!
