Lord, Who's the Happy Man

1. Lord, who's the happy man that may
2. 'Tis he, whose every thought and deed
To thy blest courts repair,
By rules of virtue moves;
Not, strangerlike, to visit them,
Whose generous tongue disdains to speak
But to inhabit there?
The thing his heart disproves.

3. Who to his plighted vows and trust
Has ever firmly stood;
And though he promise to his loss
He makes his promise good.

4. The man, who by his steady course
Has happiness insured,
When earth's foundation shakes, shall stand,
By providence secured.
