Dawn burned a red sky

I heeded no warning

You were both on your way

A curse two-fold

 

Why, fancy the commonalities

How absurd in a world so cold

That we should find each other

Two stars colliding

 

Gifts so rare I had been awaiting

No one else could understand

Roses and wine enfolding me

Velvet smooth attentions

 

I yielded to your charms

Intoxicating waltzes

Romancing my grave

The best was yet to come

 

Try me, eat me, drink me

And enter Wonderland

Down the Rabbit Hole

Spiraling to oblivion

 

Your hooks sunk deep

Blood droplets seeping out

But I wanted more and I sold more

That I might taste “freedom”

 

“You are ready now

To attain the next dimension

I have trained you well

It is time”

 

So I tasted the magic of your

Accomplices; ardor and addiction

Nothingness

I lost my grip on everything

 

Dictatorial marched your manifesto

I was never to be alone

“It is for your good that it is so

If I leave you will crumble, We are One”

 

Rebellious I defied you

I questioned how this could be real

So tainted and twisted your motives

A wolf in sheep's clothing

 

A sudden blow sent me reeling

Seeing stars colliding

Hot rage boiled then whimpered away

Best soothe with wonderland escape

 

Cherry blossom has its day

So fleeting in its majesty

So too all things come to pass

And away was the illusion

 

Still I sought to regain

That bond of exclusivity

What had I done to destroy

The charm of entanglement

 

But I could no longer captivate

The one who sought to destroy me

This was a fool's game

Tears of blood

 

Cut to release the lifeblood

“Well hurry up and do it then

Are you such a coward”

I failed at that too

 

You spat venom on my pitiful enslavement

I pounded my head against walls

Weeping for my need

Pawning life itself for one more escape

 

In the end I chose your weapon

Above all else

And you were gone, work complete

Leaving me with ghosts as my consorts
