Member Poem

Shutters closed tightly.
I never noticed
Until the flame extinguished
Plunged into folds,
Darkness crawling,
Screaming from my throat,
And then,
Only silence.
Enveloping hearts, soothing
Light poured forth
Cracks widened with hope
Leave the wounds behind,
They’ll heal,
Eventually.
