I Will Try to Name It

An unacquainted damsel
Came in the way the other day;
What happened? Don’t ask.
She came in view suddenly
Like a moon came out of the dark cloud;
Face, half covered with long black tresses
Proved love lock for me;
It turned night in the day,
All dear and near!
If I were a poet, would have written a
Verse on her style and grace;
When I said this to her,
She sulked, turned away
Never to meet again;
Still a beautiful thing in my life,
This only a moment’s meeting
A remembrance of life
Our paths were different
I was a lone all the way
While the entire universe at her perusal
She inspires a bard like me,
My intellectual fellow
