Art museums are fun to tour,
And educational, too!
They really can help out a lot
When one is feeling blue.

And there are, truly, some fine artists
In those halls which you, merely, have to walk.
So, if you know of an art museum nearby,
Then, to pay it a visit, do not balk.

For, the experience can be meaningful
In really more ways than one.
A little education never hurt,
And it's always nice to have some fun.

And all of the great masters were geniuses
In what they all produced.
And, for the most part, all were appreciated
When they were introduced.

Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa,"
Knew prestige almost from the start,
And anyone who knows this masterpiece,
Knows it to be, truly, a work of art!

And, "The Sunflowers," attributed to van Gogh,
Are really nice to view.
This was one of van Gogh's better works,
And has become quite valuable, too!

And, "The Creation of Adam," by Michelangelo,
Is a masterpiece we all can salute.
A work taken right out of Genesis,
And is awe-inspiring, to boot!

So, yes, the great artists of the past,
And, some, even of the present, too,
Are an integral part of our culture,
And can be edifying for one to view.

And I DO appreciate the various masters;
My allegiance, to them, could not be clearer.
But, if you want to see a REAL MASTERPIECE,
By a REAL MASTER, then, just look in the mirror!
