The phantom rose from the depths of her mind, all she heard was a hiss,

All her dream ships were once wrecked by the acuate rocks of reality by life;

In her fantasy isles of insanity, her barketines raced into port, canvas billowing, and winds whistling through the masts.

Two kids, a dog, and a house with a picket fence was all she ever wanted;

Someone to share her love with, someone to hold her hand;

Loneliness became her bane, like an animal that was forever hunted.

The American Dream was lost forever in the labyrinth of a dark abyss;

She resented the day she said, ‘I do’ and became a wife;

For richer, for poorer she had sworn to stay by his side and love him in heart of hearts.
