Did I see an alien on my wall?
suburban garden splint mosaic boundary,
us city dwellers thrive on vivid image,
of the brain cell or that stone construct,
day in day out a densely swollen wave,
science fiction plot a stellar studded cast,
viral stranger tread mill yet has avid yen,
one can read agendas over bridges barely crossed,
lever arch connection frames a stick on smirk,
flight bound creatures wonder round in circles,
though born on earth they seem from distant planets,
the stuff of silver starship desperate landing,
cacophony at speed another tongue to master,
overheard in slang prone tangle dash,
litter strewn concentric literati
neck and neck,
meteoric metaphor magnetic wired by cable flex,
invasion from within but omen tumult,
life on Mars no longer optic fix,
fantasy before oncoming comic book script,
traffic jam sidekick whose world is polarised,
proximity bazaar is quite bizarre as network flyer,
rapid rail reaction a new dialogue box,
scroll down menu digit flick some once off space being,
bandwidth mere toy for inner globe galactic,
intrusion from another login species in the mirror,
reflection on celestial twin pack,
complicated dawn to dusk breed when desk bound,
but have I seen that many aliens at all?
or just some Walter Mitty seeking faraway bliss,
escapist is an understated art form when
life is flat earth dull
