In the classic category it'd have to be
the '66 427HP stick with sidepipes in their original chrome
Kinda mellow yellow she was butternut actually
I've never owned this type of quintessential American sportsmachine-I picked her up deep in Central Californian farm country n' took her to a dealership in Ohio
Sure would of liked to take that beautiful babe home
How 'bout that throaty growl of the Z06 with 750HP
That one needless to say was all about power
n' almost had to pull the reins so she didn't get away
They test ran them on a track down in Texas
a ways west of Houston where I'd picked up two U.S. Army troop vehicles before running stepdeck in a place called Sealy
So anyway I took this one to an old Marine still in great shape in Tucson-he'd sent her in for service at Hennessey n' was happy to get her back so he could get groceries 'cause he had a crotchrocket too-he wanted to get her bedded down in the garage before the desert sun slipped into night from day
'Nother time in Houston on my first trip with Rick the senior driver/fleet manager we met up at a shopping center large parking lot with a sprite eighty four little old lady
This was necessary as we were running one of the "large cars" the 116" condo 2015 KW complete with bathroom/shower-dining table-pull down double temperpedic bed-stove-convection oven/micro-double sink-large flat screen TV-roof AC-huge generator-opera n' blue strip moodlights-even had a back door out to the catwalk-plus even a fax machine
So this one was a black 2012 convertible with only 3K miles on her-was a gift from lady's son who was a Hollywood horror movie maker
can't recall one Rick said he did but was like alot in that genre in rate of B
N' this one I delivered by myself to her directly in front of her son's posh apartment complex in Hollywood/LA-was a maneuvering challenge running over 80 feet of that monster with the Kentucky enclosed trailer through the tight streets but I was relieved I had a bathroom so didn't have to get out n' wet the wheel I must confess
Ironically didn't do so good on my feet little a year ago in January with winch cable pulling shell of '67 Jag into belly of the beast-ended up with eight small stitches on my mug-yeah was only a flesh wound but bit of a bloody mess
But at least in aforementioned I made it through
my-Vetting process.
