You was in the right 
to treat me like you did
song i sang into you 
hand upon my face

if i thought i should've known
you had every right to feel that way

instead i left enraged 
saw red not reason
i couldn't believe it
now i see it

you were angry, i lacked compassion
didn't try hard enough
all the fights where i didn't fight 
and broken, you wondered why?

i thought you were better off
and really you were
i put you through hell
and now i want back

tunnels of light that lead the way
to your hair that falls,
sweeping the water
like looming willows

beautiful and serene.
weeping when night comes.

let me back in
under your shade
until night fades
and day breaks
