In Niuem profundam et Gelu Frigidum

In Niuem profundam et Gelu Frigidum

The Feilds, and Meads, and fleesy woods all three
Servants to th'Season wear one Livery
And whilst Could reignes and Earth's intoombd in snowe
Our strength seems aged, and doth feeble growe
By what means then might I dissolve this frost
And bring warmth back again that now seems lost
But thus: with th'help of Bacchus mighty charme
And Ceres, spells alone keep Venus warme:
To build of owld wood such a fier may shine
And thaugh again those stupid nerves of mine
Then to prepare good Cheer and wine the best
And a white Lass to grace both man and Feast
Soe then noe Could nor Snowy Showre in Flakes
Can hurt, when 'tis my Nest her white brest makes.
