Paganly

God, but I do
Worship you.
Nun-like adoration? No.
Like a bird? So:

faith
natural as breath.

I shall pray when prayer is
lip's caprice
like the thrilling of a bird
impulse-stirred.

God to me, and prayer
is as song to bird, and air:
elemental,
not sacramental.
