Pearl - Part 14

More marvels then did daunt my soul;
I saw beyond that merry mere
a crystal cliff that shone full bright,
many a noble ray stood forth;
at the foot thereof there sat a child,—
so debonair, a maid of grace;
glistening white was her rich robe;
I knew her well, I had seen her ere.
As gleaming gold, refin'd and pure,
so shone that glory 'neath the cliff;
long toward her there I look'd,—
the longer, I knew her more and more.
