A Playful Poem on a Chicken Egg

A hard shape to describe — not circular, not square:
it seems to encompass both Heaven and Earth.
Keep in mind the two levels of white, inside and out,
and, centered within, the single spot of yellow.
Before the division of Primal Chaos — already, an image!
After the split of the Universe — vicissitudes appear.
Nurtured here are wings that will reach for the Milky Way,
or be transformed into the Golden Crow
that moves with the sun.
