Remeidis of Luve

So prayis me as ye think caus quhy,
And lufe me as you lykis best;
As pleisis you, so plesit am I;
Gif nocht I fynd, of nocht I traist.

Gif ye be trew, I wil be just;
Gif ye be fals, flattery is fre
All tymes and houris, evin as ye lust,
For me till use als weill as ye.

Gif ye do mok, I will bot play;
Gif ye do lawch, I will nocht weip.
Evin as ye list, think, do or say;
Sic law ye mak, sic law I keip.

Schaw fathfull lufe, lufe sall ye haif;
Schaw dowbilnes, I sall you quyt.
Ye can nocht use, nor no ways craif,
Bot evin that same is my delyt.

Bot gif ye wald be trew and plane,
Ye wald me pleis and best content;
And gif ye will nocht so remane,
As I haif said, so am I lent.

Avys you as ye think to do,
And use me as ye list to fynd.
Quhat neidis lang talking thairto?
For as I am, ye knaw my mynd.

Be war thairfoir and tak gud heid
Quhat is the sentens of this bill,
For and ye beir me ocht at feid,
I sall you hald ay at evill will.

Thairfoir be trew but vairians,
And I salbe as of befoir.
Uthirwayis generis discrepans.
Content yow. This ye get no moir.
