Retail Veracity

A dame bought a comb for the crown of her head,
And thus to the shopwoman cautiously said—
“Well, here is the money, and send it me home;
But are you quite sure 'tis a Tortoise -shell comb?”
“O yes, 'tis the fellow of those on the shelf—
My husband, ma'am, bought it from Torty himself.”
