Satyr & Faun & Driads shadows all

Satyr & Faun & Driads shadows all
That peopled old religions maddening creeds
Which poesy did worship & so make
Reallity of nothings for her powers
Are beautifully pregnant of rich deeds
To make a mortal an immortal seem
& beauty from a shadow spring to life
& substance passionated & so make
Joy were was nought & heaven een in hell
Twere pity that our worldly thoughts were grow[n]
So void of ideality & lost
So much to fancys of the beautiful
& grand as een to doubt oer poesys splend[i]d creed
Of beautys & of pleasures bountiful
That left no room for cares & even so
Let what was sung sink to shades again
& thereby loose all fancys ideallatys of joy
Leaving nought certain but our pains & cares
