Saying Good-Bye to Feng the Hermit

Where will your strange pilgrimage take you next?
How far will you travel
through southern trees, southern clouds?
Your boat winds its way
past nine bends of the river
where Incense Burner Peak juts into the sky.
I know you will seek out all the famous mountains —
don't disappoint the immortals, they are waiting for you!
This may be the trip — you will experience wonders
and command flying dragons
at the Cliff of Purple Sky.
