Seeing Off Editor Wang Chou-tz'u and Secretary Lin Shih-lai on Their Mission as Envoys to the Ryukyu Islands

Congealed vapors surge in vast space;
you ride the flow, and set out for the Great Wild.
You hear the Ocean God, whistling and singing;
striking the waves, approach the cosmic tree!
Sun and moon are swallowed and spit out;
dragons, leviathans plunge down and hide away.
You come to know the vastness of the world:
when Tsou Yen spoke of nine continents,
he was not telling lies.
