Sonnet

Away ye cold opinions & disdains
That makes the human mind one endless thrall
& marks out boundaries for its fancied gains
Where one opinion triumphs & where all
Else human that may differ — share the chains
Forged by their evil thoughts that downward climb
To think the power that made us so disdains
His wisdom to make ignorance a crime
Dark clouds may cross our path & nought be seen
Around us but the gloom yet all the while
Above those clouds the air is all serene
& heavens face wears but one eternal smile
Where nature triumphs with creations call
Man for himself may dictate — Gods for all
