To Strephon, on the Death of Belisia

Does Strephon Mourn Belisia Dead?
He will no comfort take:
Rash Dawn may win you go to Sea;
Your Mother's Heart to break?

True comfort is in God alone
Thro' a Redeemer dear;
And Happiness you'll never find
Unless you find it there.

This was Belisia's comfort too;
Nor was she loath to part,
And go to her Redeemer dear,
Tho' once you had her Heart.

Then now prepare to follow her,
(Death soon may meet you here)
To endless Joys; and part again,
You never need to fear.
