From rivers, and from the earth itself
clouds and steam arise
like the breath of the lovers.
Sounds pass through walls
and spread through closed mansions.
Stiff cold penetrates to the bone.
Rising on his elbow, the younger boy
rolls back his foreskin
as he would his eyelid,
revealing the corona glandis
to his rapt companion.
The moon is after all a nocturnal sun.
