A BLURRED LIFE

Some see their past sharply focused and clear
Whether as a waking memory or just a dream
But others will tend to try and let it fade away
As much that is remembered to be made grey
Most episodes to be forgotten, it would seem
Hoping that they could be made to disappear

I still look back in time and view a blurred life
Was there always some requirement for hope
Now it’s all misty, and I don’t miss the clarity
As there seemed to be no room left for parity
Take the next challenge, pushing the envelope
Back in the day when competitiveness was rife

Much said and done, yet even worse received
As any business career takes so few prisoners
Many will come and go, but never be missed
Just another completed task struck off the list
Like any radio broadcast without any listeners
That never needs to ever try and be believed
