The poet, Wang Wan, won fame in poetry at an early age. He traveled frequently between the south and north China and did many writings. Unfortunately, only one volume of his works (ten poems in total) was preserved in the Complete Tang. 2. The 5th and 6th verses (Hǎi ri shēng cán yè, jiāng chūn rù jiù nián.) are the highlight. Commentators in Tang mentioned the lines were so unique, there is nothing else like it in Tang poetry.3.
