1. Wherein consists the high estate Of Christ's exaltation?
To which he's now arrived of late, What's his highest station?
2. The third day doth these tidings bring, By break of day he rose,
3. Jesus he rose and left the dead And van-quished sin and hell;
And did the powers of death unsting, And conquered all his foes.
He rose to be the churches head; He reigns on Zion's hill.
4. Our Lord ascends above the sky,
From whence he did descend;
Jesus he reigns in majesty,
And doth his church defend.
5. A Potentate, or King of kings,
All worlds do Christ obey;
Praise to his name all nature sings,
His godhead shines through clay.
To which he's now arrived of late, What's his highest station?
