Glowing Sunshine Trail (Rhyme Poem)

Penning these sincere  lines now at will,
how I love this beguiling  process in total,
pulsing rhythms how that must  ink spill,
it’s such a glowing sunshine trail for me,
structure and converse deep within my heart,
I plod, plot, peruse, ponder with utter glee,
one doesn’t always grasp where quests send,
those side routes, side streets, sideways,
chart and map one gladly must amend,
but happiness awaits the blissful dreamer,
they never the object of life charm,
enchantment of the trek a bright redeemer

The Death of a Clown

Two distinct lights,
Lit the scene in fright.

An empty theatre bleak-
A man holding a head.
The whole floor was red.
The clown had a frown.

“Why did you kill me now?”
“Why did you let me down?”
The man strained his fist
(That was all he could to resist)

“I had a vision you see,
Of a world rid of thee-

I am.

A prelude to Nike's "Am I a bad person?" commercial narration.

I wanted to be a “good” person.
I tried.

Was told that I shouldn’t cling to one dream, so I didn’t
Believed being transparent would beget the belonging I craved
Felt that being easygoing would lead me down the right path
Thought always to put others’ needs before mine.

This makes me a “good person”.

Extended respect to all but myself
Forced down my throat acceptance of the existence I was creating.

Til' Death Do Us Part

Till death do us part
Those were the words that leaked from your mouth as i stared into your warm eyes
Your white gown flowed in the wind as we shared our eternal kiss
You promised we would take on life together so why
Why did you break that promise my love
Why is it that i'm still here, still clinging onto the life you gave me and you get to rest so peacefully
That day i saw you
Had i known it would be our last i would have made you stay
Had i just tried harder to stop you from getting in the car
