Faith Must Be There

You must let no doubt
Enter your heart
Embrace with your soul
His path
His glory
Lord of Lords
King of Kings
Let this holy one
Forever in your heart reign
And you'll find
An eternal peace

Neither Earth nor Hell below

Allow to come between
To dirty up
The clean and pure realtionship
You and He have
No matter how rough it gets
Know always
Through thick and thin
He will be there

Because He loves you that much
He'd die all over again
Just to prove it to you

You've come this far
Why turn back now?

Free as the Breeze

Irresponsibility:
That's the goal, at least for me.
To move invisible and quiet,
Skirt the edges of the riot,
Seeking those in pain.

Knees aflame, they gasp and choke,
Eyeballs dripping through the smoke.
I puff myself, a gentle breathing,
Cool their anger, soothe their seething,
Soft as summer rain.

"Why?" the other sprites inquire.

Hold

I push up
there he stays
he pushes down
I fall
holding myself tight
pushing against the solid bricks of his chest
holding myself tight
suddenly I am awake
not in my bed

Lust for Life

No matter how much life hurts,
No matter how hard it squeezes your soul,
It grabs you by your guts
and shreds you to bits;

The pain is excruciating,
You wanna die, but just couldn't—

If it's an addiction of a kind
you would try at least to give it up;
But when you are high on life
And have been born with this malady --
You don't wanna give up life,
You can't just let it go!

You are addicted to life for life!

Interstellar Tract

after William Carlos Williams

I will teach you my Earth people
how to perform a star flight
for you have it over a troop
of astronauts –
you have the space sense necessary.

See! imagination leads.
I begin with a design for a ship.
For Sol’s sake not streamlined –
not silver either – and not polished!
Let it be weathered and familiar,
as full of natural color
as the world it leaves behind.

Equilibrium

Lurid shades construe the vision of clouds
Lurking through the mist of the intangible,
Paramount

Have I to recall of the collective jape
When singing my own meddley, the fallacy
Reminds how I collide with the callous weight
Of perjuring the flashes in the eye to gaze.

Upon a mere figment of the inner sanctum,
Built on the addled sphere into creation
Minding not the core,pure.

I flicker through the remainders of a lost word

Well met !

Well met,complacent chilling
Of my bones into the swirl just
Dimming my portrait,skipping my present,
It's just meant to last.

Hello,rambunctious cliff of moving tides
Where I,my fellows,we're meant to collide
And sow our harvest,a new sunrise,
For our being demands reprise

Hey,sincere apology of tomorrow
Where I grow and cherish all of my
Life, I get only to follow a true must,
When I sing,I'm asked to dance&nbs

Urban Sovereign

Gaunt, in a grimy dress and Burger King crown,
she occupies the median
with timely crayon-scrawled edicts:
          "Happy Spring" in April,
          "Whew, it's Hot" in August,
          "Boo" at Halloween.

From Lexus comfort,
drivers proffer coins through half-closed windows
that she grabs, stone-faced,
with yellow rubber kitchen gloves.

Papa

Before cell phones, email, tweets,
I remember conversation,
the back-and-forth of it:
how my father drove across Europe
without even the radio on,
hours unrolling behind us
filled with debate, questions;
his unfailing delight
in hearing me recite
four lines of a poem by Robert Frost,
lines that he loved
but couldn't remember;
even our silences communal.
