She sits all alone in the little room,
Caged..by her emotions,
Scared.... of being just another drop in the ocean,
Lonely...because she does'nt let anyone close,
Blank...as she can no longer bear to be morose,
She sits and stares at the blurry life on the road,
She longs to join and leave her lifeless abode,
But she's too weak to fight again,
Too weak to ignore the pain,
She understands how the world works but she can't accept the truth,
She spent ages figuring out when she lost her youth,
Maybe it was in school when they kicked her on the ground?
Maybe it was when her parents stopped being around?
Perhaps..when she lost her innocence after she pleaded through tears?
Or..maybe it was when she realized that no one cares?
She glances at the swallow on her window sill now and then,
She wonders why anyone ever thought that they were the only free ones whe we could be the same,
She listens to laughter of little children playing next door,
And looks guiltily at the floor,
She knows that her fear of facing people isn't her fault,
However, she can't help but repent,
If only she was stronger..things would be different,
She picks up her latest victim,
The book she shed tears for,she reads it again,
She's in love with the boy who lives in a different world,
Yet he takes her along each time a page is turned,
She wakes up with a smile each day,
Proming she will forget her fear and go out that day,
She fails...consistently,
She forgets that the monsters win the fights in her books sometimes,
But she says she's doing better everytime a sympathy ridden person drops by,
Maybe..she lost her youth when her heart was bleeding and she said she was fine.
