It’s a classic struggle between good and evil;
When good is not well-defined,
Evil wins,
When evil loses, but good is weak,
Evil wins again.
It was a battle for the soul of our country:
His incompetence, brutishness and cruelty – a Republican crook,
A diabolic charlatan – crude and rude,
versus, A decent, albeit, docile democrat.
American were given a choice—
Half of them chose one and the other half, the other,
leaving the rest of the world wondering,
How is it that over 73 million people
could vote for this racist thug?
That’s 4 out of 10 people you cross paths with
every day on your way to work—
That’s a frightening fact, the very embodiment
of the anxiety that has engulfed those
who did not vote for amoral Trump.
The world, seen what kind of a man he was,
are aware how much damage he is capable
of inflicting upon the humanity at large and
undermining the democratic principles
surrounded by enablers, lapdogs, sycophants and cronies.
For us, Americans, there’s much reason for soul searching.
