Member Poem

Everyday, light growing dim
Ive lost myself from within
Standing tall and being strong
I do not know for how long
I laid my head on her hair
Took a deep breath, then got scared
I couldn't smell her essence, the aura that she had
Just the smell of chemo, I fear it's getting bad.
I stay to hold and hug her,
In fear that she can't make it
Its time to put my smile on ... and fake it
I can never show her,  just how scared I am 
Wipe away the tears and thoughts, just be a man
Head is cracking, heart is breaking 
I can't stop it now, just keep smiling and just keep faking.
