You peer into my unwavering eyes
As I stare into your faltering glance
A cruel storm looms over us up in the skies
But our lingering gaze puts us in trance

Snow falls with such rapidity and resolve
Silver flakes shed from the vaults of heaven
Falling in profusion til they dissolve
Onto the earth’s bed they shroud and glisten

We saunter through this bright and earthly scene
Interrupting the momentum of snow
As it melts on us, all the while sunbeam
Shines down on your sweet skin and makes it glow

In that cold air we thaw our wanting hearts.
Like the flurrying snow, fondness imparts.
