THE LAST STOP

Tell me now, all you travellers
What is the one place you’d be
To stay, I mean, to just reside
And not another ticket to ride
You’d hate that, quite probably
As no one place is that fabulous

Keep on moving, that’s the thing
Explore new worlds, near and far
Fight temptation to stop and settle
Keep moving, to show your mettle
There’s a time for that last hoorah
As eventually we will all take wing

You’ll know when it’s the last stop
An empty platform at the station
A sunny day, and a gentle breeze
Then just step forward if you please
No announcements or information
That staircase leads up to the top
