When someone can love you as you do
and win your soulmate when you woo,
When you lie down and fall sound asleep,
When what you sow you can reap –
Nothing else matters more.

When what you eat makes you feel lively,
When what you drink makes you feel jolly,
When what you see makes you feel happy,
When what you hear makes you feel merry –
Nothing else matters more.

When you trade and get a fair deal,
When you pray and overcome an ordeal,
When you dream and bring it to fruition,
When with your faith you can but reason –
Nothing else matters more.

When you begin to live with no regrets
When you can honor your given pledges
When you face serenely your remaining sunsets
When you die and bear no grudges –
You have lived your life well.
