The Lord of Gnats at dusk
turns into phosphenes
on the heavens' eye.
He sits on old blue hills
and stones nearby;
on clouds dipped in fire;
upon a breath.
The Lady of Autumn, Mist, and Fog
teaches him such things
as curving light
on blending trees,
and breaking darkness
with shattered beams.
She is triplicate and dawn.
