melodies bring memories,

of those carefree days
and playful weekends.
When having the blissful ignorance of a child
was okay.
When desires were pure,
and needs were fulfilled by playing.

They have the power to haunt you.
Like the face of an old lover,
carrying the forgotten emotions of the sting of
a heartbreak.
The taste of that last kiss.

From a simple song,
the feelings come flooding back and for a short
moment,
you are transported.

That's the magic of music.
