Scientists say it is quantifiable changes from one time to the next
But when you ask different individuals,
They have different concepts of moments.
My grandparents will reminisce about a different era
When they used to frolic in the sun,
Lived free from responsibilities.
For my sisters, Christmas vacation seems another world away,
Each moment seems like a faraway land across an endless ocean.
For me, each moment is a meal to be consumed
Leaving an indelible impression in our psyche
And each meal should be enjoyed and savored for its uniqueness.

There are moments I liken to eating a chocolate cake
These moments are to cherish and when the cake is gone,
The impressions left behind will be relived in our minds forever
Then, there are mundane moments
like eating a flavorless pasta
These moments seem to last a lifetime with no immediate ending
Even in these moments, however,
There will be an occasional unexpected burst of flavor
That leaves a wondrous impact more important than the chocolate cake
At long last, all meals should be appreciated
For you never know when a marvelous flavor should arise.
