Moon infatuated by winter, disguised affront
Relentless gloom, tucking dusk tight til morrows rise
Heartbreak soon infused, winter’s battlefront 

Filling voids, cores skew expectations, an annual salacious hunt
Winter in awe of moon, dazed by rare gloom, quick to seduce

Qualities winter sported, moon locks eyes, longer to confront
Whispering in ear, pleasure tickles moon with smooth chills
Heartbreak soon infused, winter’s battlefront 

By noon of winter, moon shed tears of ice, intent found blunt
Moon sought revenge, flooding winter white, brightening gloom
Moon infatuated not winter, by revenge gloom’s affront

Punishing, source of doom, moon bore the brunt
Incarcerating gloom, caged at separate pole as winter
Heartbroken moon diffused winter’s battlefront

Moon rocking in chair, still eye on Earth from forefront
Winter forced in orbit diagonally opposite gloom, for sheer beauty
Moon infatuated by Earth’s beauty, secreting winter’s affront
