                                “My Mother Had No Taste…”
 
 
                                    My mother had no taste –
                                    She had affectations.
 
                                    My mother had no taste –
                                    She had idiosyncrasies.
 
                                    My mother had no taste –
                                    She had eccentricities.
 
                                    My mother had no taste –
                                    She  parroted others.
 
                                    My mother had no taste –
                                    She only had opinions.
 
                                    My mother had no taste –
                                    She looked at life through the wrong
                                      end of Life’s telescope.
 
                                    My mother had no taste –
                                    She told me she’d wanted a son.
