Have you played a game of chess?
Chiseled pieces, kings and queens under stress. The pawn,
as delicate as a fawn.
The zigzagging bishop,
prominent, poetic kinship.
My Squire's castle,
may find himself in a hassle.
The horse,
never showing remorse.
Two of each, a right and left pair,
losing one is not despair.
Yet only one king and queen,
behind so many pawns are seen.
Standing tall,
until you realize,
this isn't chess at all,
stalemated lies capsize.
