You ask for too much,
You ask for more than is necessary,
A little here and a few there,
Make a complete whole,
Some hours of daylight,
Some hours of darkness,
Make a complete day,
Some hours of sleep,
Some hours of work,
Make for a healthy mind,
Some shades and colours,
Make for a complete art,
Some chisellings here and there,
Make for a complete sculpture,
Piece by piece joined together,
A garment comes as a whole,
Piece by piece a puzzle is complete,
Don’t be like the sea in its ebb and tide,
Encroaching on the land,
Don’t be like winter gloom,
Everyone hungry for sunshine,
Tolerance and patience
foster a healthy union,
We are going up one step at a time,
Until we're at the summit,
Until we've conquered all to stand,
Don’t meddle my fair lady,
Don't fret like the moth,
Too many cooks spoil the broth.
