The music playing from my headphones is rich against the silence of the morning,
the faint light of the rising sun leaving the world sharp and focused,
and the slight chill adding a certain crispness to the air.
As I walk, feeling every heavy footstep,
I'm grounded in the moment,
aware of every detail
and every simple joy
