Words are powerful, they say
but what can they really do?
If words were strong enough to heal,
why do people get tired of listening?
If words were powerful,
why do prayers not reach the ears of God?
If words could travel miles as they say
why do broken hearts not mend?
If words were a tool of the gods
why do a thief's prayer for safe operation reach heaven?
When people make false promises,
words don't mean anything.
And I ask again,
what can words do?
