Imagine, one fateful day
If this earth
stops turning around, I say
and we get stuck at dawn,
Will there be a perpetual sunrise?
Or, an eternal spectacular sunset
if it’s at dusk?
Oh, won’t that be lovely!

But what happens, God forbids,
If we get stuck at high noon,
Or at dead of night, just like that?

Or it turns, but a tad sluggish,
Not in its element
and for the day, sulking.
What happens if it
wants to take a breather
and feeling a bit dizzy;

Will the flowers still bloom, just like that?
And the birds, bees and butterflies
go about their business gleefully.

What’s the truth, the moment of divine proof
Knowing not when this world could go poof!
